We are proud to announce that Vida Pharmacy has qualified as a COVID-19 vaccine provider in New Mexico by the CDC and the New Mexico Department of Health and is the only independent pharmacy that has done so thus far this year. We realize that it is important for you to feel comfortable with the safety and efficacy of this newly developed vaccine. We will update this page with updated information as it becomes available.
The first COVID-19 vaccine that Vida Pharmacy will have available for administration will be manufactured by Moderna. It has few side effects reported until now, other than possible flu-like systems such as a low-grade fever, aches, chills, pain, and swelling at the site of injection. Children under 16 will most likely not receive this first vaccine.
The second dose will be administered 28 days after the first. If this dose is missed, the second will be wasted and the entire series will need to be restarted.
